An automotive manufacturer needed to repair and replace 180 stub rollers for a skid conveyor system. The problem was, the conveyor supplier was no longer in business. Without the ability to repair and replace the rollers, the only other option is to replace a section of the conveyor system, which is a much more expensive option.
The manufacturer found Caster Concepts while searching for a manufacturer of conveyor parts.
Caster Concepts quickly reversed engineered a sample of the product. The Stub Roller was designed by the Caster Concepts Engineering team to drop in without any modification. Caster Concepts, in conjunction with its in-house polyurethane wheel production operation, Reaction Industries, used its 95A polyurethane to improve the wear and life of the drive surface.
