This 12-inch by 3-inch 81 series kingpinless caster, is renowned for it’s unique single ball race design that ensures a high-strength swivel section. The top plate and yoke base are securely aligned using 3/4 inch high-quality hardened ball bearings, enabling smooth and reliable swiveling. Manufactured through a drop forged process with C-1045 steel, the yoke and top plate exhibit exceptional strength. The swivel section features a precision-machined 4-inch single ball bearing and a load/thrust raceway in a kingpinless style, where the 3/4 inch diameter load/thrust ball bearings are positioned in shear load, effectively locking the swivel section. Paired with our general-purpose, 1-inch thick tread, H.D. Standard Polyurethane (Shore 95A Hardness) wheel, this caster becomes good for numerous industrial applications. It is non-marking with high tear strength and resistance to flat spotting, as well as a good solvent and water resistance. This wheel is capable carrying loads up to 3700 lbs. and has a 1-inch thick tread which is denoted by the H.D. in the wheel material. Featuring our precision tapered bearings, the wheels are capable of absorbing excessive side thrust loading and can be used where high speed operation is essential, all with a load rating of 3850 lbs.
