Their higher weight capacity per caster allows for increased productivity while enhancing stability. Dual wheels also distribute weight more evenly, reducing the load-per-square-inch and reducing pressure on the flooring or ground surface.
Constructed of our popular hot forged C-1045 steel swivel sections, these dual wheel casters feature legs that are welded to a unique skirt design for greater strength and longevity.
Using smaller diameter duals wheels can achieve the same capacity as a larger diameter single wheel. The larger footprint provides greater distribution of load on the floor. Additionally, less effort is needed when changing direction as the dual design allows the wheels to rotate at variable rates to compensate for the shorter radius in the arc.

Caster Concepts has a wide variety of caster options. Many of these not only improve function – but also provide safety and add longevity to the product. When considering safety options, the most common consideration would be caster locks, caster brakes, toe guards, and reinforced legs. Options that extend the life of a caster are primarily options that seal the bearing of the caster to prevent contamination of the precision parts.
Other options include threaded zerks for when an application is difficult and high level of maintenance is required and rack brush wipers that keep debris from stopping movement or damaging a wheel. These options can be added at the time of manufacturing or after the caster is fully assembled.
