Hiring is both art and science. In “Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap … And Others Don’t,” Jim Collins writes: “…companies start by getting the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seats.”

In my experience, hiring the best people to fill seats isn’t always possible. So, the challenge becomes hiring people who can become the best.  For this reason, I believe that an excellent hiring decision is merely the first step in building the best workforce.

Core values: We take the time to integrate each employee into the Caster Concepts culture. Our culture encourages new processes and revolutionary thinking, which in turn drives continual employee improvement. Our employees understand, “how we do it at Caster Concepts.”

Our engineering department is our best example of hiring, training, and weaving key people into our business. Our engineers have more combined years of education than those of any of our competitors.  But, we didn’t hire our engineers because they were already caster experts. We hired them because they possessed great educations, excellent attitudes and the desire to lead.  We then trained them in every aspect of heavy-duty industrial casters.

At Caster Concepts   we employ intelligent, educated and  loyal people who work hard to learn. They embrace our company culture. Because we are a job shop and our employees don’t do the same job repeatedly, they easily adapt to each customer’s needs.
