Dear Aerol Customers,
I wanted to quickly update you on the progress following the acquisition of Aerol Company by Caster Concepts /Aerol LLC.
As you will recall, the acquisition closed on November 13, 2020. Since that time, the following has occurred.
In summary, all elements of the business that was in Rancho Dominguez, California, has been moved to Albion, Michigan, and the business is operating with some limitations in capacity. At this point, the limitations are in the “re-engineering” of the Aerol product. Each component will be 3D modeled in SolidWorks, and all reconstructed Bill of Materials (BOMs) will be built in our ERP system before being released to manufacturing.
While we wished there were a way to shortcut this process, it is impossible to follow our ISO quality procedures if we cut corners or take shortcuts that may eventually undermine the product’s quality. That would not only be counterproductive, it would also eventually impact our valued customers.
Starting on or around January 26, we will receive our first shipment of castings from our supplier, Quality Non-Ferrous Foundry. These orders were placed based on in house orders and will allow us to match BOM’s with available inventory and process open orders through manufacturing and assembly.
I am very proud of the team’s effort and the progress made in a relatively short time period. All of this work means nothing until we can receive your orders, commit to your shipping date and deliver high-quality products when you are promised. I take this commitment of On-Time Delivery of all our manufacturing products seriously and expect our team members will not disappoint our customers.
Thanks for your support. For any issues, please contact your Aerol representative Bill Schoonover or Keith DuFault or, as a last resort, Director of Sales Doug Backinger.
