ALBION, Mich. (Jan. 23, 2008) – The Jackson Area Manufacturers Association (JAMA) in Jackson, Michigan recently announced that Caster Concepts, Inc. (CCI), Albion, has been voted their Manufacturer of the Year Award. The award is given in recognition of both success within the industry and contributions to the success of the broader Jackson County Community.
According to Bill Rayl, Executive Director of JAMA, “this year, there was tremendous competition for the Manufacturer of the Year award. Some entrepreneurs start a business in their basement. Others see the opportunity for growth in an existing company—to change the company, to make it better, more successful. Such is the case with Caster Concepts, Inc.”
He went on to say, “Founded in 1988, Caster Concepts was something of a “one-trick pony” — CCI made large industrial casters and wheels and they did it well.
