Michigan-based manufacturer enhances customization services with enhanced online experience.

Albion, Michigan – Caster Concepts Inc. (CasterConcepts.com), a leading global manufacturer of heavy-duty industrial casters and wheels, unveiled a new website designed to give its customers, engineers, industrial material designers and the public the online tools to envision and build a caster for every need.

“We created a site that’s easier for our customers to navigate, find what they’re looking for and provides them the tools to take advantage of our greatest strengths: customization and design,” said Caster Concepts President and CEO Dr. William Dobbins.

The new and improved CasterConcepts.com features “Find Your Caster,” a search tool that can determine the exact caster by looking at several specifications and characteristics, including application and benefit. For example, a search can be done for an ergonomic caster with specific weight capacities and top plate size.

Ask an Engineer,” another new feature, gives a user the ability to consult — at no cost — with the company’s team of top industrial designers. For those that require more than a standard caster, the Caster Concepts CAD Configurator enables the customization of thousands of existing caster models and provides the ability to download 3-D and 2-D models into one of more than 50 design formats, ensuring compatibility with the most common design applications.

And within a few months, Caster Concepts will unveil the “Project Locker,” a secured portal that allows for sharing files, including CAD models, product designs, images and other files. The Project Locker will make it easy for users to share information with Caster Concepts engineers, saving time, the risk of errors and overcoming file-size limitations imposed by email providers.

CasterConcepts.com showcases its products and design capabilities per industry, such as aerospace, automotive, manufacturing and heavy-equipment use. Website visitors will find a live, online chat, online quote form and educational resources for anyone unfamiliar with casters and their use and importance. The site also highlights a Caster Concepts specialty: solving workplace safety issues through the ergonomic design of casters and wheels. And for the company’s many customers in South America, the site is available in Spanish.

“Our new website ensures the fastest response to customers no matter where in the world they are, whether they just have a question, need a resource or are placing an order. They can do it all within a span of a few minutes, and there’s always someone there to make sure things go smoothly live and in real time,” Dobbins said.
