Fabricating Concepts: A Laser Focus on Fabricating Components to Your Specifications.

November 27, 2019 By: Bill deMink

Fabricating is defined as “To make by art or skill and labor.” In Albion, Michigan, Fabricating Concepts is the home of the “Laser Line” of products for Caster Concepts and leads the charge in fabricating heavy-duty industrial casters and wheels, as well as delivering custom components to your specifications.

When you need your parts fabricated on time and on budget, depend on the experts at Fabricating Concepts, your specialists in:

laser cutting | welding | powder coating

Utilizing the full capacity of two 4,000-watt lasers, Fabrication Concepts has the skills to fabricate your project to your specifications. This helps us eliminate setup changes, increase feed rates and deliver parts faster with more efficiency.

And there’s no stopping our 100 and 240- ton press brakes with enhanced bending features that deliver superior angle accuracy for a wide range of applications.

Press Brake Capabilities:

14’ max length | 8-axis back gauging | 240-ton capacity.

When it comes to our hand manual welders, they are spot on, capable of welding medium carbon steels in excess of 2″ thick. And our CNC-controlled robotic welding system provides the highest quality and most consistently repeatable welding available.

For powder coating capabilities, we’ve got you covered.

powder coatingAnother capability of Fabricating Concepts is the ability to powder coat parts. Powder coating is a type of coating applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”.

      • Powder coating emits zero or near zero VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds – bad for the atmosphere and your health!)
  • Powder coating produces a much thicker, tougher coating than conventional paint.
  • Powder-coated surfaces have fewer surface defects, such as sags and runs.
  • Parts can be coated in over 6,500 different colors

Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to process a variety of materials to meet your exact specifications, Fabricating Concepts is versatile and responsive to any size project. It all stacks up to capabilities and services that exceed your expectations, but not your budget.
