(Albion, MI) July 22, 2009 --- The Ford Motor Company has chosen Caster Concepts' CasterShoX product line as the specified caster for line delivery carts in the revised Ford Cuautitlán Assembly Plant, located near Mexico City, Mexico, where the automaker will assemble the Ford Fiesta. The CasterShoX product line is a proprietary product designed and manufactured by Caster Concepts.

The announcement is further evidence of Ford's commitment to worker safety and to improving the work environment. Developed by Dr. Elmer Lee, who brings an extensive background in the development of shock absorption and sound deadening products for manufacturing environments, the CasterShoX casters will reduce cart noise in the facility by 15-18 dBA, or up to 95%, and improve ergonomic pull tests on the manually handled line delivery carts by 20%. The improved ergonomic pull tests will directly reduce muscular stresses and strains in the work force.
