For Immediate ReleaseCaster Concepts Releases Radically New Noise Reducing, Shock Absorbing CastersCaster Concepts, Inc. announces the release of a radically new, noise reducing, shock absorption caster built on patented ultra-compact shock absorbent technology whose development was partially funded by the National Institute of Health.Albion, MI – January 26, 2007 - In January 2007, Caster Concepts announced the release of a radically new line of shock absorbing casters. After 2 years of research and development and more than a quarter of a million dollars invested, Caster Concepts launches its line of CasterShoX casters. Base on patented ultra-compact shock absorption technologies, the CasterShoX shock absorption core is entirely contained within the caster wheel, itself. As a result, implementing CasterShoX products is as simple as changing out wheels. With testing in actual industrial settings, CasterShoX casters have been shown to reduce noise sources by as much as 15 dbA. A reduction of this magnitude has profound effects on reducing noise induced hearing loss. As a result, the National Institute of Health has funded R&D for this industrial caster product. CasterShoX casters by all appearance, shape and size are identical to conventional industrial casters. CasterShoX caster wheels come in two standard sizes, 6x2 and 8x2. Wheels can be treaded with a high quality Caster Concepts polyurethane wheel tread ranging from 70A to 70D. Solid, high strength, glass-filled nylon wheels are also available. CasterShoX casters are available in a single wheel or dual wheel configuration. CasterShoX wheels all use a giant, super smooth 6013ZZ deep groove ball bearing which guarantees superior roll-ability and ergonomic factors. The CasterShoX core provides more than 3/4 of an inch of compliance and is currently manufactured with three varieties of spring stiffnesses. A light duty core has a 500 lbs capacity, a medium, 1000 lbs and a heavy duty core, 1500lbs. Compared to traditional spring loaded casters, CasterShoX casters are smaller, far more economical and far better performing because they have added damping functionality to ensure stability.
