Named Albion Manufacturer of the Year(Albion, Michigan) – February 13, 2009 - At the Annual Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony, Caster Concepts Inc. was selected as the Albion Manufacturer of the Year. This an award that is given to a member manufacturing company that best supports the community through job creation, and community involvement.During the award presentation Caster Concepts Inc. was cited for the great care that they give to their facility and the excellent impression that it makes as people approach the Albion community on I-94. The business was also cited for the job creation that has occurred in the business through diversification of the business and acquisition of other business units. Community involvement has always been a priority of Caster Concepts Inc. Through involvement in community projects and local non-profits it dedicates time and resources to the well being of the Albion community. "Swingin at the Shell" has been a project in conjunction with the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce that provides free concerts for the public at the community band shell in Victory Park. Caster Concepts has also spent significant time and resources to keep the band shell in excellent condition. In accepting this award Bill Dobbins, president of Caster Concepts Inc. reflected on the difficult times facing the business and the community but pointed out that the key to long term success in any business is the quality of the people in the business.
